So, i know I'm terrible at updating this thing, but I'm going to be at Anime Expo in Los Angeles this weekend, and I hope you all can stop by and say hello! I'm at table G6 (WHICH YOU WILL REMEMBER, BECAUSE HELLO, THERE'S A TERRIBLY BAD BUT CATCHY AND ADDICTING SONG ABOUT IT, LIKE A G6, LIKE A G6) with :iconsurfinpika:, and we're hangin' out next to :iconpaintpixel: at G5, so come on down!

I'll have some prints for sale, as well as a custom skate deck, and some other surprises, too. I'm available for commissions as always--I aim to have the best time ever, and I hope you'll come on down to table G6. Like a G6.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by for what is decidedly my last Otakon...ever. :D  I'm going to stay positive and just say that I'm moving on, and hope that you all will follow me on my new adventures!

I start a brand new job for a major apparel company in about two weeks, and I am very excited to be comfortable and happy in the job arena of my life for a good long while (I hope).  Now that that part of my life is stable, I'll have more time to focus on art for myself!

I won't be at any anime conventions for a good, long while.  I'll miss seeing y'all there, but you can always keep up with me here or on my more frequently updated tumblr: seekatiedraw.tumblr.com

That's it!  Over and out!

Hey guys, I'm at Animazement this weekend in Raleigh, NC!  There will be a few new prints, and I'll be open for commissions as usual.

This year AZ is doing something special for the art room that I am taking part in, and would love for you all to take part in as well.  All weekend long, there will be artists in the art room at certain times (these times will be posted, I'm sure) doing quick, on-the-spot commissions, and all proceeds will be donated to tsunami / earthquake relief in Japan!  This is a really a win-win situation for you--not only are you snagging some sweet art, you're also making a donation!

I'm scheduled to be sitting in the art room on Friday, between 4pm - 5pm.  Any commissions that I get done during this time will go to charity!  Also, if you catch me on the tail end of this time, I might have to take your commission back to my table to work on a little further, but your money will still be donated, don't worry!

I hope to see some of you there!  My con season is a short one this year since my recent move to New York Citaaaaaaaaay, but you know I love you, Animazement--you cannot keep me away.  I'm looking forward to it, guys!!

Hey everybody!
I hope that everybody has a great holiday season--I'm visiting my parents for the time being, and it's been full of Christmas songs and cookys and I believe we've watched that Glee holiday episode 5 times already. :)  Take care, and stay safe and warm!

Hello, my friends!
I have some time and I'm open for commissions right now.

Emergency vet bills, car troubles, etc just annihilated me, and could really use the extra cash to pay bills and such. If you're interested you can e-mail me, comment here, or note me.

Thanks, guys--I appreciate any help getting the word out, too!

(Also, my prints are still available at my etsy store, seekatiedraw . etsy . com!)

Some self-pimpage:
I have an etsy store now for my Lady Gaga prints, prints from the Monsters show, and some other things that don't necessarily make it to my deviantart.  I would be totes excited and happy if you guys would take a look, or fave my shop, or maybe buy a print!

seekatiedraw . etsy . com

I've already made two sales, my shop barely open 24 hours, which gives me FALSE HOPE THAT I WILL BE ROLLING IN ETSY SALES, LAWLZ.  Anyway, it will probably be updated with new things all the time, and maybe something will strike your fancy!  If not, if you could possibly fave my shop or tell other people about it, I would be super grateful!  Going freelance fulltime has been one of the best things to happen to me, but there are always up and down times, and if you can afford to help a sister out, that'd be marvelous!

I'm taking commissions through etsy as well as through here, so if you're not on etsy you can always devnote me!  Thanks, guys!  More art everywhere really soon.

Well, Otakon was certainly eventful this year! Between having to register on Friday morning because I apparently forgot, a fire alarm and subsequent evacuation on Saturday,  and having no idea when the alley opened or closed on any day, I'm totally wiped from this weekend!  It was equal parts fun and crazy.  I'm so grateful to all the people who stopped by my table this past weekend; it was fun to get to talk to all of you!

Prints will be available soon--look for it!~!  In the meantime, I'm going to get some much needed rest.  Take care guys!  My next con is New York Comic Con in October!  I'll have so much new stuff by then, it will blow your minnnnddddd. And probably mine as well.
  • Listening to: Gaga, ooh la la
I have prints of all sizes available.  I'll be taking limited commissions this year, but I'm printing inks, paints, and some markers.
The prep time for Otakon has been really stressful for me, so I hope this isn't an omen for the future!! D:
Even so, I plan to have a great time seeing all my usual convention buddies!  We have such a great time!

See you there!  s

It's been a turbulent couple of months!

I'm working now for a different company, doing patterns for children and tween's textiles!  It's a lot of fun, and I get to work from home. (the dog is so happeh!)

Last night was also my first gallery show.  I've posted a couple of the pieces from the show, and I'll have prints from those pieces available online and at conventions, of which the next is Otakon, in Baltimore.  I hope to see a lot of you there!
  • Listening to: Lady Gaga, duh
My most favoritest convention is this weekend!
I'm tabling in the Artist Alley balcony, next to my bff :iconpaintpixel: as per usual.  I would love to see all your pretty faces there!  I have a ton of new prints this year, as I didn't really get to have a table last year.

From what I can tell, it's going to be a reunion of about four BILLION friends, and I am looking forward to meeting some new friends as well!  (y'all know who you are)

HOORAY.  Time to make prints and stay up all night for you lovelies.  I'm very excited!

1) I'm offering a little free art gift to the 200th fan on my Facebook Fan Page.  So, head on over, if you'd like!

2) I've opened back up commissions!  I am still taking $10 digital commissions on my blog, as well as my usual commissions at normal price.  Pleas feel free to contact me if you'd like to request something!  I only take Paypal right now, because it's easiest for the both of us, IMO.

3) Everyone is awesome!  My birthday partaaaay is tomorrow and I'm ready to get irresponsible.

Things coming up:

End of May: Animazement (Raleigh, NC)
Mid July: Group show at the Kai Lin Art Gallery (Atlanta, GA)
End of July: Otakon (Baltimore, MD)

I've had some downtime from work, and instead of drawing for worky-times, I've been doing some commissions and art that I've owed people for awhile now (SO SORRY, FFFFFFFFFFF), but as long as I've still got the time I am still taking $10 commissions that are on my blog.EDIT: Sorry, jumped the gun--all request spots are taken, thanks guys, I LOVE YOU.

Speaking of blog, it can be found at seekatiedraw.blogspot.com
I've been updating more often.

Also, I have a facebook fanpage (there is a link to it on my blog), of which I will gush and say thank you again to you all--I think I had 140+ fans by the end of the first day (whut!??) and I can't tell you how much I appreciate the encouragement and support.  It's been a rough road, and we've gotta stick together, right?

Alright, mushy bullshit over--time to get crackin' again.

Alright, so :iconghost: says that I need to post more, so here I am.  I updated with THREE (THAT'S III FOR ALL YOUR ROMANS OUT THERE!) new deviations, things I did at AnimeBoston this time around.  I hope that all the artists that attended were able to be successful and have a ginormous seafood dinner afterwards like me, :iconghost:, and :iconpaintpixel: did.

For those who are inquiring (obviously), I had the crabcakes with scallops, shrimp, and a cranberry walnut salad.  UMMMMMM I COULD EAT THAT FOREVER, PLEASE.

There were complications with my flight so I ended up not flying out Sunday night, but staying in a (very shady) hotel for another night and getting up at 3AM this morning to catch a flight at 5AM...and then going to work.  So, at you can see, I'm not getting much done at work right now, seeing as I'm updating my devART instead of doing work.

Things coming up in my life are:

- My graduation ceremony next week!
- Animazement in May, what what.
- A gallery show in June (I know, me doing fine art, what the hell)

WELL THERE YA GO THERE'S AN UPDATE.  :D  Hope everybody's spring is off to a good start.
  • Listening to: Lady Gaga
I haven't updated in ages, so, herewego:

- I'm a full-time in-house illustrator, what whaaaaat!
- Holiday iPhone app for kids available at the iTunes Store!
- No more grad school!  But, I'm going to start teaching at Portfolio Center in the summer.  I GUESS I CAN'T GET AWAY.
- Signed contract for 5 children's books, which will then be made into iPhone apps for kids!
- I live in Atlanta for realz now.
- The dog is still awesome.

So, as you can see, it's been BUZYTIMEZ, and I know I haven't updated in like 5 trillion years or something close to that.  I've also been writing again, which is taking up my free time.  I moved into my new place a month ago, and I JUST got around to sorting things out / moving things around the way that I like.

Hey artists that are gonna be at AWA!
We're going to plan a dinner on Friday night at 7pmish at a TBA location (it'll be close, though--there's a bazillion restaurants around there), so let me know if you would like to go!  There will also be local Atlanta illustrators there as well.  If you can spare some moments away from the table, it'd be great to hang out for a bit.  If you need a ride, I can provide that, too.

I'll be walking around Friday (I have a gallery opening to go to that day so no con for me), and then I'll be working over at Jpophouse for Saturday and Sunday!  Can't wait to see some familiar faces.  :D

LORD.
Well, the drama llama hit the con as it usually does, but I won't go into it much here. Overall, I had a really great time, and saw a whole slew of people that I never get to see, and it was fun times.  I even saw my friend I used to run Japanese Club with in HIGH SCHOOL.  I don't know how many of you people know my age, but high school was...AEONS AGO.  XD  Anyway, even though the profit was just so-so, the fun I had totally made up for it.  It was much more awesome than expected, and it's a little crazy just how fast it all goes by.

Special Thanks go to:
:iconsolemnwishes: for allowing me half her table space and in general being a great tablemate!  My tablecloth still smells like green tea!
:iconmediaviolence: for taking care of my actual table (hope you did well!)
:iconpaintpixel: for taking care of our rooming situation and for being awesome as usual.
:iconkathemo: for driving me there after the car-broken-into fiasco.

Oh yeah, so, right before the con, my car got broken into and it costs a bajillion dollars for a new window (apparently, drivers' side windows for NINETY-FUCKING-SIX OLDSMOBILE CIERAS are in HIGH DEMAND) and special thanks also goes out to anyone who helped me out over the weekend with either a chibi sketch or by buying a print.  I'm very thankful for that!

Next con is probably AWA (in the dealer's room w/ Jhouse) and then NYAF (sharing a table with :iconpaintpixel).  I'm excited for both, one after the other!  One = local, inexpensive con and the other = homecoming.

Um.
So, somehow I found myself at AMA this past weekend, sharing a table with the lovely :iconpaintpixel:.

Man, that con was sparse!  Does anybody know the actual headcount?  I've seen more people at my house, let alone at a convention.  No worries, we ended up having a good time just catching up and taking it easy.  It's always nice to see familiar faces!  If you stopped by our table, thanks so much!

I was about to go to AnimeExpo, but I'm a little con-ed out--I've been to 3 conventions in 4 weeks time, ugh!  I need some time to prepare for Otakon.  I'm a little depressed about how poorly the artist alley is being handled this time around, but hopefully I'll be able to squish some fun in there.  Including a trip to the crab shack.  Indeed.

See you guys at Otakon!  Oh, and expect updates to my dA soon!

Animazement was killer, killer!  It was so much fun!  NOIZ kicked ass, and gained many fans over the weekend with their friendly faces and great performances.  I'm so glad they were such a success!

Thanks to anyone who stopped by my table at the artist alley and bought a print or bought up my art auction pieces.  I wasn't there to see any of that go down, unfortunately, but I appreciate it very much!

I've posted in the footer a list of the rest of my conventions for the year--I've got a busy year ahead of me!
